Mantis Shrimp’s Shock-Absorbing Phononic Shields: Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app Engineering Faculty’s Role in New Study

Assistant Professor Meisam Asgari, from the Department of Medical Engineering at Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app, was recently recognized for his contribution to a research paper published in Science (Vol. 387, Issue 6734, pp. 659–66). The study, titled Does the Mantis Shrimp Pack a Phononic Shield? explores the impact-resistant properties of the peacock mantis shrimp’s dactyl club.
