Partnership growth in Panama
A team of ƶijapp Health professors representing the ƶijapp Genomics and Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease traveled to Panama in February. The delegation was focused on strengthening existing Panamanian partnerships, discovering new programs and visiting local health institutions, while providing a forum for the ƶijapp faculty to share current research projects.

From swimmer to soldier: the public health journey of Lt. Col. Sean Beeman
Although born in Kansas, ƶijapp College of Public Health (COPH) alumnus Sean Beeman considers Trophy Club, Texas, his hometown. And being a competitive swimmer in high school gave him the jumpstart to join the Navy and serve as a search and rescue swimmer for 14 years, which eventually led him down a lifelong path of military service and public health.
