For 2024, the work of 63 local artists is being showcased at the Tampa Museum of Art, Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app Contemporary Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg, Sarasota Art Museum and The Ringling Museum of Art. Twelve artists are featured at the Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app Contemporary Art Museum (CAM).

How music can help boost cognition in cancer patients and COVID-19 survivors

In a first-of-its-kind study, Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app researchers are finding that music can help boost cognition in patients undergoing chemotherapy. In partnership with Moffitt Cancer Center, Jennifer Bugos, Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app professor of music education, and breast surgical oncologist Dr. Melissa Mallory, have been examining the effects of private and group piano lessons on cognition and everyday functioning in patients.

The Holly Drive Collective, a creative collaborative network student ensemble at College of The Arts at the Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app made waves at Musikfest, one of the nation's longest-running music festivals in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The group's performance, featuring a blend of rap, rock, hip hop, R&B, and metal showcased their original music and talent.

With Tampa on track for record-breaking heat this summer, Ôƶ¥¶Ä³¡app researchers are collaborating with the city of Tampa to implement strategies that can help protect the city and its residents. The project, Bridging Knowledge to Action, will direct the city’s efforts to enhance resilience through new initiatives, including planting more trees and establishing dedicated spaces for individuals to cool down.
